For goodness sakes, at some point in your life you are going to stress over money! So get over it now!
This is a condition that seems to be the bane of the majority of today's population.
Stop whining!
It is not just those without very much money and who are stressed about it; those who are wealthy seem to be just as stressed as those who are not so Richie Rich.
Okay, so perhaps the worries are not the same, but the stress is. For example, those who are not so well off may be concerned about making the next house payment or even where the money is going to come from to buy the next round of groceries. Those who have more money seem to be more stressed about their investments and capital ventures.
Guess we all have more in common than we initially thought when it comes to stress and money.
Those who are more well off also have to worry about the people who surround them and the people who are supposed to be working for them. We often hear stories about how the rich have been taken advantage of by those who attempt to hang on to their wealthy coattails.
It really doesn't matter whether you have money or whether you don't, it never feels very good when you have been taken advantage of, especially financially, by others.
All too often it seems that money and stress go hand-in-hand. How often have we heard about the number of divorces which occur because of financial pressures?
The bottom line is that financial issues are stressful for almost everyone on the planet.
However, in many cases feeling stressful about money is still a choice. We all choose how we live and how we react to everyday situations. So you could make a different choice when it comes to money and to stress.
You simply could choose to be very happy with whatever state you are currently in. You could learn to be content with what you have in the bank today. You could learn to be content with the possessions you currently have and you could even learn to live with less. Think about how much less our parents got along with, and for that matter, think about how much less our parents got along with. Sometimes all we need to do is remember where we came from to reduce some of the stress related to money in our lives.
We really do not have it that bad.
Often stress related to money is due to the fact that you believe there is simply no hope for the situation. You believe that there is no way out of the box in which you find yourself. There is no solution for this. When you feel hopeless your stress levels rise.
When we learn to fight against the situations in which we find ourselves and we learn to do more to find the next open door, then we typically feel more hopeful. When we feel hopeful we feel more in control and less stressed.
Not only is this true when it comes to money situations and stress related feelings this is also true in other areas of our life as well. Hope gives life meaning and fighting against the situation gives us back the power we have given away to the money or lack thereof.
Too many family arguments begin over money which creates high stress levels in many of today’s homes. All too often financial worries occur in households where one partner is a spender while the other is a saver. When this occurs it is a no-brainer to realize that conflict and tension are going to arise.
Money and stress do not have to go hand-in-hand. They do not have to be joined at the hip. Life is too short to be so stressed all the time over financial worries. So whether you are a well to do and worried about your investments and such or whether you are less well off and worried about how you are going to make the next car payment, money simply should not control our lives.
So, learn how to control your stress level when it comes to money. Living any other way is simply not worth the energy.
