Pilates focuses on the body as a human kinetic chain. By applying the basic Pilates technique and exercises, Fitness Pilates aims to offset musculoskeletal imbalances. The aim of Fitness Pilates is to identify basic postural imbalances through Pilates based exercises.

Increase muscular balance and strength. Improve client’s posture. Improve the class member's ability to optimally function during work and play.

 

Pilates focuses on strengthening the centre by teaching the mind and body to engage core muscles. Pilates involves finding and maintaining the neutral position of the spine during standing and lying positions. This is often referred to as CORE STABILITY.

 

Trigger Point Pilates

Tuesdays 6:00pm - Clare

Wednesdays 6:30pm - Barbara

During a class, you will learn to use a foam roller, prickle balls and resistance balls to trigger points of the body to release and relax.You will feel the muscular tesion easing out, you will release facia which is like a cling film covering every muscle and joint in the body. Release facia and your muscles will lengthen and joints loosen.
