FOR ALL OF OUR HOT CLASSES, PLEASE BRING A LARGE TOWEL (TO PUT OVER YOUR MAT) A SWEAT TOWEL AND PLENTY OF WATER!

Tween Yoga - Mondays - 4pm - Barbara (starts 8th Jan 2018)

Our Tween Yoga courses are for girls only, aged between 8-13 years. Yoga is an excellent tool kit supporting both physical and emotional development. Set to popular music our classes will focus on flexibility, posture, balance, coordination and focus. Breathing, meditation and movement will be used to help promote young lady's self esteem, confidence, manage anxiety and improve fitness levels.

The classes run in line with term times and are sold in 6 week blocks.

 

Flow Yoga - Mondays 7pm & Weds 9:30am - Kathy

Move your body through a series of warm up stretches, variations of Sun Salutations, a standing & seated sequence followed by relaxation all linked by the breath to help build flexibility & strength in the body & mind.

 

Beginners/Improvers Yoga - Wednesdays 7pm & Thursdays 10am - Barbara/Kathy

Stretch, unwind, and release tension, Beginners/Improvers Yoga offers a gentle sequence of Yoga moves at a slow pace, allowing time to experience each posture. Including simple breathing exercises and an opportunity to try relaxation techniques and meditation.

 

Heated Hatha Yoga - Thursdays 7:15-8:15pm - Barbara

An inspiring yoga workout which builds and improves your flexibility and strength. Embrace the heat, flush out (eliminate) toxins. Hot yoga allows you to go more deeply and safely into postures, it elevates your heart rate making your body work harder. The body relaxes and breathing is improved. It will help focus your mind and develop better concentration. Suitable for all levels of fitness. 

 

Hot Friday Flow - Fridays 5:15-6:15pm - with Barbara

 

Move your body through a series of warm up stretches, variations of Sun Salutations, a standing & seated sequence followed by relaxation all linked by the breath to help build flexibility & strength in the body & mind.

 

Yoga Nidra - Fridays 6:15-6:45pm - Barbara

 

Note: If you have attended the Friday Flow class you are welcome to stay for Yoga Nidra at no extra charge (subject to availabilty - places must be booked).

 

This relaxation/meditation technique originated in India, but like most modern yoga, has been modified and Westernised to suit the needs of busy people.

Though yoga nidra is translated as "yogic sleep," this method is not really about getting in a good snooze. Guided by your instructors voice, you identify sensations throughout your body and focus on your breath, while (ideally) remaining in a state of relaxed awareness so that you may release deeply held tensions, some of which you may not even be aware.

End your week with this deeply relaxing and calming session. The studio will still be warm but blankets are provided.

 

'What can I say about Yoga Nidra? It was the most wonderful feeling I have ever experienced in my life.  I know that sounds like an exaggeration but as a rule I find it very hard to relax but I was able to experience complete and total relaxation during the Yoga Nidra class.

As I relaxed and went into the meditation I almost felt as if I couldn’t feel the floor beneath me. it was as if I was floating and I felt weightless. As Barbara talked I relaxed each part of my body. I was not asleep but felt in a hypnotic trance and I felt as if all my worries and troubles had left me. They were completely gone. Hot Restorative Yoga - Sundays 9:30-10:45am - Barbara

A deeply relaxing yoga experience. It will help improve your strength and flexibility whilst helping you unwind, reduce stress and improve your quality of sleep. Includes a combination of gentle yet powerful postures, breathing techniques and meditative relaxation.
